Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 450g pork tenderloin, cut into 8 equal slices
  • 1/4 cup tamari (soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice & 1/2tsp grated zest
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 salad onions, cut diagonally into 1/4inch pieces

Instructions:

1. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

2. Add 1 tbsp oil to pan. Add pork slices to pan; cook 2—3 minutes on each side or until done. Remove from pan and keep warm.

3. Add remaining 1 tbsp oil, tamari, and next 4 ingredients (through garlic) to pan; bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes or until mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat and stir in zest. Return pork to pan, turn to coat on all sides. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.

4. Serve with half plate steamed veg, all colours.
